First observations in 32 GHz using the DSS-55 antenna. 17/07/2008

This is the first result obtained using the DSS-55 antena (MDSCC, Robledo de Chavela), in Ka band (32.05 GHz) and using the last generation spectrometer WVSR. The experiment was done in December 29th, 2007.

The Figure shows a spectrum obtained toward IRC+10216. The line is HC5N(12-11). It is centered at ~ -10 km/s, and has ~ 3 MHz width, which is equivalent to 28 km/s, in agreement with all the molecular lines already observed in the source.
